Installing Windows 8

Installing Windows 8 made easy. Follow the installation instructions and enjoy.





Step 1: Insert your Windows DVD or bootable USB in your system.

Note: To know how to create a bootable pendrive, visit my post  Making a Bootable Pen Drive and follow the instructions.

Step 2. You will see a screen diaplaying the windows icon.

Step 3: You will see a window asking your language and other preferences. Select the desired settings and click on "Next".

 Step 4: Now click on "Install Now"


Step 5: A screen showing "Setup is Starting " will be displayed.

Step 6: Now you will need to fill the "Product Key" you got when purchasing Windows.

Step 7: Now "Accept the Terms and Conditions" and click on "Next".


 Step 8: Now select "Custom" option.


 Step 9: Now select the drive you want to install windows and click on "Next"

Note: If you want to format the selected partition before installing windows then select the drive.
          Then click on "Advanced" and select "Format".
          
          If you do not format the drive then a "Windows.old" folder will be created in your C:\ which
          contains your previous files. You should delete it after the installation is complete.

Step 10: Now the installation begins.

Step 11: The system will restart a few times.Once the installation is complete, "Personalise" your PC and start using the new Windows.
